History

In 1990, Cliff Moffett, a successful entrepreneur, started a chain of catfish and homestyle food restaurants called

Big Daddy’s.  The first restaurant was in Bryan-College Station, and it quickly grew to four stores including the one in Odessa.  Over the years, Big Daddy’s became one of the most popular restaurants in the area, as well as one of the busiest catering companies.  In 1998, after closing the other locations, Cliff sold Big Daddy’s to Scharlena

Amstrong, who had been the Assistant Manager since 1992.  Sharlena has owned Big Daddy’s ever since.  Over the years, our staff (many of whom have been here since its inception) has witnessed babies that are now graduated, and have watched many families grow and change.  Thank You for an outstanding 20 years, and looking forward to the next 20!
